A team round is a match shot between teams instead of single archers. In World Archery target competition a team is three archers of the same gender and a mixed team is one man and one woman, and in every end each team member shoots two arrows. Team matches use the same kind of knockout bracket as individual head-to-head events.

Szczegóły

A team's end is six arrows, two from each of its three archers; a mixed team's end is four. The archers share the shooting line and the clock, so the order they shoot in and how quickly they hand over to each other also count.

Recurve and barebow team matches use the set system over four sets. The team with the higher set score takes two set points, a tied set gives each team one, and the first team to five set points wins. Compound team matches are four ends scored on total points, and the higher total wins. The same formats apply to mixed teams, with four arrows per end instead of six.

The time limit covers the whole team. World Archery allows 20 seconds per arrow in team and mixed team rounds, so a team has two minutes for its six arrows and a mixed team 80 seconds for four. A slow first archer leaves less time for the other two.

A tied match goes to a shoot-off. Each team member shoots one arrow, three for a team and two for a mixed team, and the higher total wins. If the totals are level, the team with the arrow closest to the centre wins; if that is level too, the next-closest arrow decides it.

World Archery's field and 3D Team events work differently: a Team is one archer from each bow division, each shooting one arrow per target, while a Mixed Team still shoots two arrows each. Clubs and other federations can run their own team formats too, so check the rules for your event before you pick a shooting order.
