When will BowSmith be available?
BowSmith is currently in alpha testing with a group of compound shooters and 3D/field archers. Beta launch is planned for Q2 2026, with public release to follow. Sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on availability!
Which platforms will be supported?
BowSmith is iOS only. We're focusing exclusively on iPhone and iPad to deliver the best possible experience for Apple users. No Android version is planned.
How much will BowSmith cost?
BowSmith uses a freemium model: Free tier (2 sessions/week, 2 items per category), Advanced ($3.49/month or $34.99/year - 4 sessions/week, 3 items), and Professional ($79.99/year or $249.99 lifetime - unlimited everything). Current alpha testers have received a Lifetime Professional license as a thank-you for their feedback.
Is there a free version?
Yes! The free tier includes 2 sessions per week and 2 items per category (bows, arrows, gear). This is perfect for casual archers. You can upgrade anytime to Advanced or Professional for more capacity and features.
Can I use BowSmith offline?
Yes, BowSmith's core features work offline. You can log sessions, track scores, and manage gear without an internet connection. Data syncs automatically when you're back online.
What's included in the Professional license?
Professional includes unlimited sessions, unlimited items per category, advanced statistics, data export (CSV/PDF), cloud backup, priority support, and early access to new features. Alpha testers get this lifetime license for free ($249.99 value).
How can I get involved in testing?
Alpha testing is currently underway with a select group of archers. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when beta testing opens up — beta testers will need an iPhone or iPad with iOS 15+ and a willingness to provide feedback.
Will my data be safe?
Yes. Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally backed up to the cloud (Professional tier). We use industry-standard encryption and never share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
